Tennessee Trot....

[Lisa need some new undies....]

unfair... I have one foot in a life boat and one foot on the deck of this sinking ship.... I can't help it, I am still 'dwelling' on the 'where' are we going crap...

the last couple of weeks I blogged at xanga... truth be told, I dealt with a lot of anger, first by finally disowning my brother, and then with the extended story of my workout partner and her 'plastic surgery', I even threw in some humor about my 90 year old MIL getting 'felt up' by a male patient and her telling the CNA to 'mind her own business' when discovered... [rolls eyes here]... [in case you were wondering where I have been at, lol]

but you all know by now, I had the pleasure of visiting with our Lisa this past week... the minute she knocked on the door of our Hampton Inn room, and we hugged and hugged and hugged, she was everything she ever has been, on-line, or on the phone , except she grew taller than expected...lol....

we didn't have any agenda, other than to wander around her home town, take pictures and spend time together... we ate a lot, from steaks to bar-b-que, fudge and Hampton Inn cookies.... I ate my very first 'fried' cornbread, although I kept insisting it looked like a pancake, lol.... and I saw my first 'fried' pies ~ didn't have room in my tummy to try that [luckily? maybe!]..... we had margarittas too...

however, we did not eat Possum.... lol....

[a room in Graceland]

we did a lot of driving, where sometimes she told me about her life, and sometimes I talked.... it was so natural..... I got to meet her beautiful family!

we did some sightseeing @ Casey Jones Village and Country Store
and [the best for me ---->> ] Graceland! We visited her studio apartment and when I pulled out of her driveway, after choking back my tears, she didn't look back, we parted as if I were going to drive into town, and be back the next day..... it was like we had known each other forever...

    1. lol, I think Kk said the same thing back at xply.....

the room didn't bother me, I was rather fascinated by the ceiling cloth, all gathered at the center and then fanning out.... the matching just brought me back to the 60's/70's....

  2. I love that room! I have 2 rooms in my house with fabric on the ceiling. That one is a bit gaudy with all the colors, but I love the style.

Your photos are so evocative - make all kinds of thoughts pop into my head and feelings surge.

Your life sounds like a soap opera. Glad Lisa helped you escape for a while.

  3. I think those undies are going to be way too big for our Miss Lisa, just saying. The photographs here are amazing, all pieces of art, the story just flows and I wish I had been with. Hugs you !!
